Hello, may I please speak with the manager or assistant manager.  My name is           , and I
am conducting a survey for researchers at Princeton University on the impact of the Minimum
Wage.  The survey will just take a few minutes for your time, and your answers will be kept
strictly confidential.  

1.  How many full- and part-time workers are employed at your restaurant?

Read aloud:  On April 1, 1990 the minimum wage increased from $3.35 per hour to $3.80 per
hour.
