Orley Ashenfelter was recently elected to the American Philosophical Society (APS), the nation’s oldest scholarly organization.

Orley Ashenfelter, the Joseph Douglas Green 1895 Professor of Economics, and Anne Case, the Alexander Stewart 1886 Professor of Economics and Public Affairs, Emeritus, were inducted into APS’ social sciences class. Ashenfelter earned his Ph.D. in economics from Princeton, while Case earned her master in public affairs and Ph.D. in economics from the University.
